生まれが北海道のわたくしだが、
どこか“故郷”を思い出させてくれる場所が金沢にはいくつかある。

竪町通りから一本入った道もそのひとつ。

古き良きや新しき良き、
食やファッションが楽しく混在するその道の真ん中で、
一つの優しい光がわたくしを誘ってくる。

I was born I Hokkaido, but in Kanazawa there are some places that remind me of my birthplace. A street next to Tatemachi street is one of them. On the street full of foods and fashion, whether old or new, a glimmer gently induces me.

昨年10月に誕生した「鍋岡」。
一人鍋を気軽に楽しむことができる石川県では珍しい場所だ。

季節に合わせて、鶏、牛、魚介、野菜を使った味を約10種類以上用意している
夏はミックス鍋、冬にはぷりぷり牡蠣の味噌鍋など、
どれをおすすめしようか…。

この日わたくしがいただいたのは、
鰹のタタキに牛のタタキ…、
「おいおい鍋じゃないのかい！」と思った人、
騙されたと思って一品料理もぜひ注文してほしい。

That is Nabeoka that opened last October on the street. It is very rare restaurant in Kanazawa as you can enjoy Solo hot pot there, and it serves over 10 kinds of hot pots of chicken, beef, seafood and vegetables selected for its best season. I would recommend Mix hot pot in Summer and Miso tasted Oyster hot pot in winter, and actually I ate seared bonito and seared beef today. Well, I guess you may say that these are not hot pots, but please, please try these dishs.

カウンターに座るお客さんは、
地元の人や竪町で働くショップスタッフ、他県からの出張、旅行者など様々。

それぞれが“しっぽり” “ワイワイ”など、
それぞれの「鍋岡」を楽しみながら、
ふと気付くとカウンター全員で楽しい時間を過ごしていた。

お店を出た後、
「美味しかった」と「楽しかった」が同時に自然と声に出ることも、
「鍋岡」が愛されている理由であろう。

You can find a various kind of people at the counter, such us shop officials at Tatemachi and those on their trips for business and leisure. Though they enjoy Nabeoka on their own style in the beginning, they find themselves enjoying altogether at the same counter. They leave Nabeoka saying “Perfect dishes.” and “We enjoyed so much.”, which shows that many people love Nabeoka.

店主とわたくしは、ダサカッコよく言えば“音楽繋がり”。
店主がこのお店を始めたきっかけも面白く、
音楽が好きが高じて海外へ行った際に、
音楽ではなくなぜか他国で味わう料理に目覚めお店を持つことを夢見る。
日本に帰国し、
勤めていた会社を辞め居酒屋で料理の勉強をスタート。

そんな紆余曲折？波乱万丈？な人生を歩んできた店主とお話しするのも、
このお店のもう一つの楽しみかもしれない。

The owner and I, I dare say, knew each other through music. According the owner, he decided to open his own restaurant when he visited foreign nations for his hobby on music and he was moved by not music but food he saw there. When he came back, he quitted his company to learn cooking at a Japanese bar. You can also enjoy speaking with the owner who has experienced a life of up and downs.
