県道8号線をひとつそれた道をイオンモールかほくに向かって走っていると唐突にあらわれる、モアイ。
何かと思い覗いてみると、ぶどう農園でした。
その名も「モアイ農園」（そのまんま）
ストレートでステキなネーミングです。

詳しく調べてみると、サッカー場2.8個分の広大な土地と15種類以上の豊富なぶどうを楽しめるぶどう園とのこと。
また、安心安全でおいしいぶどうづくりをこころがけ、「エコ農業認定農園」に認定されています。

肥料は魚粉を使用。魚粉を使うとぶどうが甘くなるそうです。
過度な農薬を使用せず、湿度を調整して病気から守っている優しいぶどう園だということがわかりました。
The fertilizer used is fish meal. It seems that grapes will be sweet with fish meal.
A gentle vineyard that does not use excessive agricultural chemicals, adjusts its humidity and protecting itself from diseases.

ただ、モアイ農園のオーナーには会えず、肝心のモアイについては聞けずじまい。

地面がフラットでベビーカーや車椅子での来園も大丈夫ですので、ぶどう狩りシーズンに是非足を運んでみてはいかがでしょうか。
